Race Details
5k run – 33k bike – 5k run
This is a standard short course duathlon: 5k run – 33k bike – 5k run.
The start is at Sartell Middle School then leads out through St. Stephen back over the Mississippi River along the River Road.

Relay
Two Person teams can sign up for this event. Teams consist of one runner and one cyclist. Award categories are Female-Female, Male-Male, or Male-Female.
Rules
All USA Triathlon/Duathlon rules will be enforced. You can view all the rules on their site.
Awards
All age group and elite wave participants are eligible for door prizes. The Apple is popular for the quality of door prizes given. Athletes MUST be present to win a door prize!
PLEASE NOTE: All athletes competing for prize money (except relay teams) will be placed in the elite wave and will NOT be eligible for age group awards. If you want to change your race status to elite please do so by emailing info@appleduathlon.com

Age Group awards. Traditional Apple Duathlon Apples will be awarded to top 3 in each age group.
Age Groups are designated as follows:
- 19 & under
- 20 – 24
- 25 – 29
- 30 – 34
- 35 – 39
- 40 – 44
- 45 – 49
- 50 – 54
- 55 – 59
- 60 – 64
- 65 – 69
- 70 +
Long Sleeve Dry Fit T-shirts will be given to all participants that pre-register by May 1st.
Following the Apple awards ceremony, Gear West Bike & Triathlon is continuing the tradition of huge giveaways. You must be a registered Apple participant and present to win. The drawings will take place following the awards ceremony.

If you are flying to MSP and would like to ship your bike separately, we recommend you call GearWest Bike and Tri at 952.473.0093 or Revolution Cycle and Ski at 320.251.BIKE. Both shops are contributors to the Apple Du and are trusted experts. Both shops will also be onsite race day for any additional help needed.
